Celebrities:
Robert Downy Jr
Christian Bale
Any of the stars from the following shows:

SciFi:
Babylon 5
Battlestar Galactica (original and revised)
Caprica
Star Trek (any of the series and movies)
Star Wars
Star Gate series

Horror:
Any of the "horror movie" starlets from those goofy horror movies that SyFy does.  Might get a couple of them to either run a class on how to act like a terrified teen in one of those movies or be judges in a contest for Best Amateur Scream Queens, lol.
Sissy Spacek
Jamie Lee Curtis
Linda Blair (Love her, so you'll have not tell me she's attending, otherwise, I'll want to get her autograph)

Paranormal:
Any one from Ghost Hunters (TAPS), I know they attend cons, I've checked their facebook sites.
Paranormal Universe people
Paranormal Detectives

Musical:
Theres only one.... Metal Elvis

You haven't seen Elvis until you've seen Metal Elvis.

Abby,

It's ok to tell people I'm going to be there, I'm already telling everyone I know that I'm attending if I'm still on earth! Grin

I honestly think that for 2011, the con needs to reduce the number of guests and focus more on the quality of guests. Not that we haven't had some great ones in the past, but I strongly feel the need to focus more on drawing in the paying public by having a few celebrities that are both more current and more well-known.

Suggestions:

 • Jewel Staite (Firefly, Serenity, Stargate Atlantis, Warehouse 13)
 • Warwick Davis (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Willow, Harry Potter, Leprechaun)
 • Adam Baldwin (Angel, Independence Day, Firefly, Serenity, Superman/Doomsday, HALO: ODST, Mass Effect 2, Chuck)
 • Claudia Black (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Farscape, Stargate SG-1, Mass Effect 2)
 • Morena Baccarin (Justice League, Firefly, Serenity, Stargate SG-1, V)
 • Colin Ferguson (The Outer Limits, Eureka, Lake Placid 3)
 • Ben Browder (Farscape, Stargate SG-1)
 • Daniel Logan (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Star Wars Episode II, Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

So Johnsey, the 501st up and ready to do a car wash to raise some money for these folks. LOL!!

I think we are going to have to do that. I think the people we are actually negotiating with now will be a great draw, but I know we had several others on the lists to look at.  We have a few more months before the def. are made, so keep the list of folks coming.

Once again, I suggest CLANCY BROWN.

The Kurgen from Highlander
Rawhide from The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
Captain Hadley from The Shawshank Redemption (written by horror legend Stephen King)
Sgt. Zim from Starship Troopers
Brother Justin Crowe from Carnivale
Kelvin Inman from Lost
Alan Smith from last year's remake of The Nightmare on Elm Street
Meacham in the upcoming ComicCon darling, Cowboys and Aliens (2011)
not to mention all the great voicework he's done for cartoons and video games--
Lex Luthor from tons of Justice League and Superman cartoons
Hades from God of War
Long Feng from Avatar: The Last Airbender
Madagascar, X-Men, Phineas and Ferb, Kim Possible, Spongebob Squarepants, Gargoyles, Extreme Ghostbusters, TONS more!  Way too much to list here, check him out on IMDB!!!

This guy has got something that everybody can love--cartoons, video games, hit TV shows, movies--lots of bang for the buck!

What about Rock Sugar as a possible music guest?  Their lead singer Jess Harnell has done a lot of voice acting roles (Wakko Warner, Transformers Movies, Comic Book: The Movie, and so on) so he might be a good guest by himself.

Has anyone considered southern vampire author Charlaine Harris as a possibility?

I agree that someone from TAPS would also be a good guest to have.

I heartily agree on Voltaire!  But POC may beat us with a stick, cause I think they are hoping to get him back for next year, but personally, I could watch Voltaire every month!

And Johnsey, I totally agree on Warwick Davis!  He would be awesome!

Here is the news folks, we won't have bands back this year. Since the venues will only be the McWane and the Marriott, we are going to be doing some other stuff instead, such as Raves and DJs. But I will send the list on to our Guest Relations and get him started on pricing of these folks. If not we will seriously need some folks to help with fundraisers. LOL!

What do you mean by technically? When you read their bio, it states that.  We would love to have them, but not this year. Of course just their presence would be cool, but I know how they are, they would want to rock out.
